This is the first time that I ate at a Korean Restaurant. It was by the influence of someone whose officemates are Koreans that made us eat our dinner at Ye Dang at Meralco Ave., Ortigas Pasig City. The interior of the restaurant was full of steel tube vents that are used when you eat shabu shabu.

Then the side dishes begun to arrive. Korean Restaurants are known to give a lot (and I really mean a lot...) of side dishes that comes with any viand that you order from the menu. It feels like, with the side dishes alone you will feel full in no time. In our case we were given seven (7) different side dishes.

Sweet Pickled Unpeeled Potato |
Spicy Pickled Cabbage (Baechu Kimchi) |
Spicy Korean Pickled Squid |
Korean White Radish Kimchi (Dongchimi) |
Korean Anchovies (Myulchi Bokum) |
Sweetened Peanuts |
Seasoned Soy Bean Sprouts |
And now at last our Main Dishes, Spicy Squid Dish and Sizzling Beef (I forgot the Korean term for this).
It was a definite Korean Feast during that night. With all these foods in front of us, I came to taste a part from the Korean influence that they are bringing here in our country as foreign students and as entrepreneurs. manh-i deuseyo!
