The Day I Finally Fixed My Office Shelf

My office shelf hasn't been that ergonomic since day 1. Almost a year ago, with my past employment, I am a working individual who is restrained from putting displayable things on top of my office desktops and shelves. My then company was strict with having personal things on top of work areas.

In my case now, I can freely put things that I adore and find motivating on my desk and on my shelf. I was reluctant at first because I was used to being disciplined on keeping my things kept shut inside the pedestals, but that isn't the case now so I get my simple little things to inspire me to work and live at the same time.

This is my shelf.

From the left you can find my cute tiny Precious Moments Doll, which as I have told on my previous article is something to remind me of my childhood "doll" days when all is simple yet I am happy with a heart of a child.

You can also find my Talking Digital Flower. Yes, it does talk. I just always forget to put some batteries and check if it is still working. I got it from a toy sale. It shows the time, it can be your iPod's speaker, it's leaves sways up and down and it talks out of nowhere. A thing mostly to remind me of technology. I work in an innovative career. And with technology there is always a way for things to be done. I maybe surrounded with problems needed to be solved, it can be hard at times, but technology can lead me on its solution.

I have my cute little Blue Magic pink jeweled bear from my cousins for Christmas. Being the most closest and earliest friends I have ever had, they truly know what I like - and it's pink! The bear as of now symbolizes my family. I am planning to later put a picture of us on my magnetic dividers - I just need to have the picture developed. An inspiration, that after all the years that we have been together, my family would always know what I like, what I want and who I am. :)

Then I have my cute keyboard brush cow. A gift from a friend that I think reminds me to keep neat with my things at work. I have allergies and it's best prevented if I don't have dust all around my place.

On top of it is the abaca-made dog from Bicol. A pasalubong from a very adventurous friend. As being made of natural abaca and coming from an adventurous friend, it always remind me that there are still a lot of nature that I need to see. There are still a lot of places I need to explore out there. My life doesn't revolve on this desk but there is a world waiting for me out there.

Then there's another cow on my desk. This time it's pink. Something to remind me that even though almost everything around me is automatic, there are still these daily cubes that I need to turn everyday.

I then have my normal office calendar from my Daddy. I have some books and notebooks on the shelf to easily note meetings and things.

I would like to add up more things on my shelf next time and will post some pictures again when it's done.
