Silya't Sili Restaurant

One of the newest restaurants along White Plains is the Silya't Sili (Chair & Chili). It has been on business for over two months already before we tried dining in.

Living by its name, the place was decorated by different chair (silya) styles and the walls are designed with huge paintings. "Art" was all over the place. The structure itself was homey for as I've observed it still resembles a house that was transformed into a restaurant for commercial purposes.

And when does the "Sili" came into picture? Order food and you will see. Almost all of their dishes are either decorated with chili, bell peppers or it really includes the spice of chili. They use green and red bell peppers, siling labuyo, siling panigang and all sili variants for the food. We ordered the following dishes: Chili Cheese Sticks (P85), Kinilaw na Tanigue (P150) and Pork Sisig (P130), Binagoongan Rice (P155) and Green Mango Shake (P60).

The food verdict? It was okay. Nothing special. I didn't even tasted the sili specialty that the restaurant have been portraying with its name. The food was of common type. I didn't even liked how the Kilawin was made, or maybe it was just not our type of kilawin that we are expecting.

However, to compensate with the utterly normal food, the crew was outstanding. The waiters are very courteous and respectful of your needs. Even though we have seated on the secluded part of the restaurant (a previous sala I believe), we are often visited by waiters serving us water and other things without being called. The service was something to look up to.
