The Ultimate Search for the Powerful Powerbank

When hubby bought me my Samsung Note 3, I was so amazed of how powerful that phone is. For days I was able to not touch my home laptop and be contented with my phone while lying on bed (oopsie!!!, alright fine, I have my lazy days and nights at home :P).

I was ultimately happy as I can post clear and crisp Instagram photos now. I was able to multitask my windows with twitter and my email. I was able to multitask a lot of things. I was able to use the 4g LTE signal of Globe with ease. Oh how I love fast connections! I have experienced all the positive things about my new gadget until the battery dries out. Good luck with that! With a very powerful phone comes a very powerful energy consumption. So a day wouldn't pass without me charging at least 2x. One at night when I arrive home and another at the office. In the middle of those timed charges I also get anxious of the battery level so my moves are restricted.

I got my first powerbank at Php700. Saying it was 20000mah was of course a joke! Unfortunately, I was hardheaded so I still bought it and to my surprise my phone would only charge up to 47% and it dries out like a desert. My phone was indeed a power monster. Urgh!

Until I found this Alibaba powerbank from an Instagram Seller. This same powerbank is being used by some celebrities as well (that's the product of my research). So with the frustration that I got from the previous one, I bought the Alibaba 13000mah. Fingers crossed, I plug it on the outlet overnight in order to charge itself and to test it out once it's already powered up. The next day is the moment of truth. Will it be able to withstand my power-hungry phone? Let's see...




Charan! I got 100% fully charged with only 1 out of 4 lights consumed on the Alibaba powerbank! Yehey! I'm happy for at least one powerbank can fully charge my phone! Because I want to test out the capability of this powerbank, I solely used it to charge my Note 3. The 3 lights however dried out successively as I do the 2nd charge of my phone. For the 2nd charging time I was able to charge it to 75%. Not bad, still. As long as I can do at least one full charge then that should ring me that I need to tone down my consumption (data off, wifi off, power saver on).

So there, if you want to know the details of the seller, then maybe I can refer her to you. But just to be clear I am in no reason connected to her or to her shop. I just merely cited out my experience with the product I bought from her. :)

Iron Man 3: My First Special Screening Invite from Nuffnang

A while ago, I was able to attend my very first Nuffnang organized event which is a co-sponsored special movie screening of the Iron Man 3 movie. I was so happy that I was invited and was able to bring someone to watch the movie for free and at a very convenient time without going on super looooong queues at cinemas. Thank you very much Nuffnang as you have made our night fun (I wasn't expecting the popcorn and drinks too, and we are very happy about it!). Even though I was still a little shy to mingle with the other bloggers, I sure am going to improve maybe on the next events. Hope to attend another event soon! Nytie!

Aruba Bar Christmas Party

I was invited to one of our company's vendor's Christmas Party celebration last year at the Aruba Bar, Metrowalk. The venue was good, classy and yet comforting. The elegant bar design and location with its long range of liquor and drink choices was really good.

However, the venue's elegant design didn't compensate with the host of the party. He was a La Salle-Ateneo long time rivalry fanatic and couldn't help to insert any kind of joke related to this old and outdated rivalry. Maybe he couldn't get over from it as being an alumni from one of these universities. Being a host, he didn't perform his "should be" purpose - to entertain the people around him, and this is best portrayed by the almost-none clapping of hands inside the bar.

At any rate, the food served was indeed nice. It tastes like a Bistro restaurant and if only I wasn't in a corporate event, I would have plunged even more on the food. (Hehehe, ofcourse I need some corporate poise you know?)

So if you are heading forward for a classy, yummy, buffet party , don't hesitate to get Aruba Bar as your venue. But do keep in mind to avoid the host above to host your party. He may have some magic tricks and telekinesis talents thingy, but it still wouldn't be enjoyable overall with his "uncool" school rivalry jokes. Unless you are "in" for it too. :|

A Night of Laughter with Chokoleit

I came with a high school girlfriend and boyfriend to LaffLine Comedy Bar of Timog Ave. in Quezon City. Primetime guest is Chokoleit. From the other guest performers I really laughed my heart out to Super Tekla and Chokla. Both of them are really funny, even though without words, Super Tekla is nonetheless funny on his own. He somewhat also resembles Poohquiao. Having fun nights with friends at comedy bars are really the best. Nothing compares to laughter for removing all the stress away.

An Entertaining Night at Zirkoh Tomas Morato

Before one of our balikbayan relative went back to the US we were treated to a night of entertainment at Zirkoh. Zirkoh is co-owned by Allan K., one of the most successful stand up comedians and TV show host.

That night it is also Allan K's turn on the spotlight as the Prime Performer of the night. The show was entertaining but nothing beats (IMHO) the laughter that I had at Punch Line and Laugh Line. Or maybe I must have been a little biased because this comedy bar is a Kapuso infested one unlike the others which I favor more as being Kapamilya infested. ;)

All in all, it was entertaining but not quite fun for me. But Zirkoh is more child friendly than that of Punch and Laugh Line where jokes are indeed green and harsh but definitely funny.
