Unplated Metro Buses on the Loose

I was always annoyed of public transportations roaming the streets unplated. This is extremely dangerous and unlawful especially now with raising cases of hit and runs. Northstar bus is in operation without a plate number even during rush hours. This is just the start of me practicing responsible citizenship.

A Simple Example of How Slow The Government Works

I have applied for an SSS ID way back on the 2nd week of May. I have queued for more than an hour back then just to have my picture taken in the only two booths that is functioning at that time. And almost after 2 months, I suddenly remembered, "Nasan na kaya yung SSS ID ko?" It was written in the form that I filled up that it would take them a minimum of 30 days. So it is definitely time to follow up now. I then tried calling their hotline # 920-6446. I was informed that the last processed ID requests were those filed back in October 2009. As in "Huh?", "Anong petsa na?". That's how the government works. Slow as in in literally slow. How I wish the government would improve.

Ninoy and Cory's Meaningful Poems

Received this simple prayer before the death of Cory Aquino. Full of meaning, and I think many people wishes to fly to heaven peacefully in the arms of God and put all the worries aside. The moment I received this poem was also the first time I knew that she was a painter. She was indeed talented alone even without putting her presidency tagged to her. She was a good poet as like also as his husband Ninoy Aquino whose poem of love was so heart felt and full of emotions.

I Have Fallen In Love

with the same woman three times;

I loved her first when she was young,
enchanting and vibrant, eternally new.
She was brilliant, fragrant,

always by my side, the source of my strength,
helping to turn the tide.

But there were candles to burn
the world was my concern;
while our home was her domain.
and the people were mine
while the children were hers to maintain;

Farewell, President Cory Aquino

The sky is crying, the earth is mourning, the country is grieving for the farewell of the mother of democracy.

I was teary-eyed with Kris Aquino's speech during the
last mass for Pres. Cory Aquino. The songs being sung at the Manila Cathedral are so patriotically emotional and very intimate.

The last mass to honor her excellency was very emotional for everyone - the entire Filipino People.


Farewell Pres. Corazon Conjuangco Aquino. Thank you for the freedom you have given us. I grew up with the democracy which you have fought for and suffered for - for all the Filipinos. You will be missed.

January 25, 1933 - August 1, 2009

The Philippine president who brought the essence of democracy and freedom to the Filipino people has died at the age of 76 due to colon cancer which spread on most of her organs led to her death of cardiopulmonary arrest. President Corazon Cojuangco Aquino has been the epitome of courage and will power to fight what is right and what is fair amongst her countrymen.

President Cory Aquino is the first female president of the Philippines who was put in position by the peaceful People Power Revolution in 1986. The most unforgettable image which I have seen that portrays the power of the prayer and unity was the image of a nun hanging a rosary at the tip of the guns of the soldiers barring the thousands of people rallying at the EDSA Shrine in Metro Manila. This peaceful means of expressing opposition to the then current Marcos' Regime has inspired many non-violent protests not just across the nation but across the world. As researched, this specific revolution inspired the end of the communist rule of the western European area.

She has been a plain housewife before becoming the president. Her position to Philippine presidency was initiated by the death of her husband former Senator Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino (now one of the Philippine National Heroes) who was assasinated at the Manila International Airport. This tragic death led the Filipino people to fight for the democracy that has been snatched by the Marcos regime.

She has been into so many firsts in the Philippines. And her courage and power was put to the test by several coup d etats that happened during Aquino's time. But despite all this, she was strong enough to face the world and her countrymen whom she had fought for. Now, she is gone. But her contributions, inspirations, advocacies and sincere touch for the Filipino people will remain not just in our hearts but in the future generations ahead.


To President Corazon Aquino, Thank you for being our president. And this yellow ribbon which symbolized your faith and hope for all the Filipinos during the 1986 People Power Revolution is for you.
